Iron deficiency, or anemia as it is popularly known, causes serious health problems in children. It can also negatively affect children’s educational achievement. It has been observed that iron deficiency, especially in children under the age of 2, can lower IQ by about 10 points when left untreated. The following symptoms in children should be taken into consideration and evaluated with the support of a specialist: Passivity when playing with other children, tiring quickly when running or moving, pale skin, loss of appetite, dry skin, lack of concentration and developmental delay.
